Analyst Investment Management (m/f)

Key responsibilities:

  • Analysis of financial statements of potential and existing partner financial institutions, preparation of investment proposals, regular periodic updates, and management presentations
  • Support senior colleagues in all aspects of the investment process from initial eligibility screening, preliminary assessment, on-site due-diligence to investment proposal drafting and deal structuring
  • Liaise with partner institutions and play a key role in the periodic financial reporting cycle which includes securing, discussing, and recording financial statements, indicators, and rating reports
  • Continuous monitoring of assigned country portfolios, focusing on financial sector trends, and operating environment to identify important market trends, and potential investment opportunities
  • Play an active and supporting role in tailoring and coordinating technical assistance projects
  • Support in business generation, pipeline development and deal origination

What we expect:

  • University degree in economics, finance or business administration
  • Some professional experience, i.e. internships or 1 – 2 years of relevant experience in banking and finance, ideally in development finance, assessment management, audit, consulting, or research
  • Sound understanding of financial statements, and financial ratio analysis, with solid analytical skills and the ability to approach issues and solve problems in a practical manner
  • Excellent written and spoken English and French, proficiency in Arabic is an advantage
  • Strong team-motivation, open and engaging communication style and inter-personal skills
  • Commitment to development finance, impact investing, and responsible finance
  • Attention to detail, ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Professional experience with Excel and PowerPoint
