Analyst, Technical Assistance Management (m/f/d)

The Technical Assistance Management department supports the Funds managed by Finance in Motion by designing, developing, and managing capacity building projects in favour of the partner institutions of the Funds and sector-level actors such as central banks and associations. Project under management cover a diverse number of topical areas, such as for example credit analysis, risk management, energy efficiency, agricultural finance, and financial technologies/digitization. The primary area of activity will be in favour of Funds active in the MENA region, namely the SANAD Fund for MSME and the Green for Growth Fund.

Key responsibilities:

  • In close collaboration with Investment Management, structure capacity building projects for financial institutions (banks and microfinance institutions), central banks and regulators, business support organizations and other partners in the MENA region and further regions, as required
  • Providing input to strategic technical assistance areas such as entrepreneurship, agriculture, fintech and fostering of financial inclusion
  • Oversee the selection and hiring of external service providers and consultants
  • Manage, implement, administer and coordinate high-quality TA projects that have a strong positive impact on partners
  • Ensure quality control and results/impact monitoring of TA projects
  • Steer the management of monitoring and reporting on TA projects, contributing to ongoing improvements in the structuring of TA projects
  • Ensure quality in project management and related processes and procedures through dedicated support measures that benefit the efficiency and effectiveness of the entire TA Management
  • Day-to-day administration, accounting and reporting

What we expect:

  • University degree, preferably in international development, economics, finance or social sciences
  • Previous professional experience in same or similar field
  • Knowledge of development finance, with emphasis on SME finance and enterprise development preferred
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Ideally, experience in structuring and implementing capacity building projects for financial institutions and other partners
  • Strong conceptual and strategic skills and thinking
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, Arabic or French advantageous
  • Work experience or academic exposure to financial technologies or agricultural finance advantageous
  • Strong writing and presentation skills enhanced by intercultural skills and sensitivities
  • Willingness to travel
