Analyst Technical Assistance Management (m/f/d)

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of high quality technical assistance (TA) projects to the benefit of financial institutions (banks, leasing companies and microfinance institutions), sector and business support organisations, and other partners of the Green for Growth Fund covering the full project life-cycle:
  1. Initiating and structuring TA projects in close collaboration with Investment Management including preparation of terms of reference (ToR)
  2. Selection and hiring of external service providers/consultants and coordination with local partners;
  3. Operational management & administration of TA projects in compliance with the Standard Operating Procedures and the respective TA Facility Policy;
  4. Ensuring quality control and results/impact monitoring of TA projects, external providers and consultants
  5. Delivering timely and accurate data management, as well as provision of project reports, including ad-hoc technical reports and progress updates vis-à-vis planned activities and expected outputs;
  6. Steering the monitoring of and learning from TA projects and feed learnings into improved TA offerings
  • Ensure proper management of allocated project budgets and accounting documentation
  • Ensure coordination within relevant working groups and with external parties
  • Day-to-day administration, accounting and reporting

What we expect:

  • University degree, preferably in international development, finance or environmental topics
  • Previous professional experience in same or similar field
  • Knowledge of development finance, with an emphasis on green finance preferred
  • Excellent project management, self-management and organizational skills with a proven ability to manage projects for results, translating strategic aims into achievable work plans
  • Ideally, experience in structuring and implementing TA projects in the areas of Energy Efficiency, Renewable Energy and Resource Efficiency
  • Experience in data/knowledge management, financial reporting and budgeting
  • Excellent knowledge of English, both written and oral; business fluency in additional languages relevant for Finance in Motion´s operations is an advantage
  • Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills, also in multicultural contexts
  • Willingness to travel
  • Demonstrable commitment to Finance in Motion´s vision/mission
