Associate Investment Management – Direct Investments (m/f/d)

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the origination, structuring, and execution of corporate debt investments while ensuring a suitable mix of key investment metrics (impact, risk, return).
  • Financial analysis (building financial models, cash flow and business sensitivity analysis)
  • Support due diligence efforts including industry analysis, drafting, and editing investment proposals and presentations.
  • Contribute in portfolio management activities (tracking impact, financial and operating metrics and preparing performance reports and other monitoring documentation)
  • Coordinating with other departments in areas such as with environmental, social, and governance safeguards, finance, impact, legal, and risk functions as it relates to investment structuring and closing deals.
  • Support identification of technical assistance needs for potential investees or market participants, in coordination with the technical assistance team.

What we expect:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline.  Master’s degree in finance or a related field, or professional certifications (such as CFA) preferred.
  • Sufficient relevant experience in investing, finance, investment banking or similar background
  • Proven financial modelling capabilities with strong financial technical aptitudes.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deliverables while coordinate effectively with teams in different regions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal business communication skills in English (all responsibilities are conducted fully in English) and fluent Spanish.
  • Goal oriented, team player, and fully committed to delivering high quality results under tight deadlines
  • Willingness to travel.
