Associate Risk Management – Financial Institutions, Latin America (m/f/d)

Risk Management Department is responsible for credit risk management and particularly for underwriting and subsequent monitoring of lending transactions to financial institutions. The Finance in Motion regional office in El Salvador is currently looking for an Associate Risk Management (m/f/d) to support the following tasks:

Key responsibilities:

  • Participate in the investment process from preliminary analysis of financial institutions (banks, leasing companies, microfinance institutions, etc.) to on-site due-diligence and deal structuring
  • Monitor assigned country portfolios, focusing on financial sector trends and operating environment to identify potential risks and opportunities for Funds’ investments in partner financial institutions
  • Maintain and regularly update internal rating and compliance database; contribute to regular and ad-hoc risk reporting
  • Support in development and update of risk management policies, procedures and methodologies

What we expect:

  • University degree preferably in economics, finance or business
  • Sufficient, relevant professional experience in banking or finance
  • Demonstrated skills in analyzing financial institutions
  • Good regional market knowledge of the financial sector as well as the political and cultural context of neighboring countries
  • Excellent written and spoken Spanish and English (official working language). Fluency in other languages is considered an asset
  • Strong team player, open and engaging communication style and strong inter-personal skills
  • Advanced Excel and Power-Point skills
  • Willingness to travel across Latin America
