Associate Transaction Management – Fund Operations Team (m/f/d)

Finance in Motion is recruiting an Associate to be part of our Luxembourg based Transaction Management Team within the Fund Operations Team, which centralizes a series of fund management tasks. The Transaction Management Team is the node through which all our disbursements, interest claims, and important fund flows are channeled, all in close collaboration with the headquarters in Frankfurt am Main as well as our regional offices.

Key responsibilities:

As an Associate in the Transaction Management Team, you will support the following activities of the funds advised by Finance in Motion:
  • Set-up & maintenance of loan and security accounts in internal systems as well as opening of respective accounts with external Custodians/Depositaries,
  • Management of Funds’ cash disbursements and settlement of securities with global and local custodians,
  • Reviewing, commenting, and clearing contractual documentation,
  • Monitoring of repayments, cash accounts and regular reporting to other Fund service providers,
  • Ad-hoc data analysis and reporting to internal stakeholders on demand,
  • Set-up and maintenance of Funds’ investor’s transactions, monitoring of subscriptions, redemptions, and changes of NAV,
  • Support further development of internal systems, including the definition of requirements,
  • Maintenance and continuous update of standard operating procedures, as well as manuals and guidelines.
  • Train and onboard other team members on new or adjusted processes and tools.

What we expect:

  • University degree (Master/Bachelor) or equivalent, preferably in economics, finance or business administration, or a related field,
  • Relevant experience, preferably in the back-office of a bank or fund manager, administrator, or custodian (preferably in Luxembourg),
  • Good knowledge on Bond Instruments and their operational settlement (primary and secondary markets),
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,
  • Extensive proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office products,
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, good knowledge of French, Spanish and/or German would be an asset,
  • Openness, communication, and inter-personal skills to operate in a multicultural context and with a diverse group of stakeholders,
  • Accurate and detailed-oriented professional who likes to work with numbers,
  • Flexible and hands-on approach with multitasks and new projects,
  • Demonstrable commitment to Finance in Motion´s vision/mission.
