Associate in Institutional Sales / Relationship Management (m/f/d)

To strengthen the Investor Relations team in the Frankfurt head office, the company is looking for a person responsible for the distribution of funds managed and advised by Finance in Motion. The target market includes institutional (e.g. financial institutions, insurance companies, pension funds) and semi-institutional investors (e.g. family offices, U/HNWIs) that demonstrate an interest in impact investing in emerging markets. This role collaborates closely with other core business departments (such as Investment and Risk Management).

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the Investor Relations department’s tasks for our fund mandates and coordinate client acquisition
  • Lead investor due diligence and execution of transactions for private debt and private equity funds
  • Coordinate relations with investors mainly located in Europe and the USA
  • Take responsibility for the after sales process (e.g. reporting to investors, continuous relationship management, cross-selling)
  • Drive improvement of operational process on a continuous basis
  • Contribute to the development of a marketing strategy (incl. customer journey, design, and update of marketing materials)
  • Support the development and introduction of new fund structure or financial products 
  • Research on the impact investor space and management of lead generation

What we expect:

  • University degree in economics, finance, business administration, or a related field
  • Sufficient professional experience in a relevant field, such as asset/wealth management or even banking, finance, or consulting; preferably with development finance experience (sustainable/impact investing)
  • Client servicing mentality coupled with an open and engaging communication style and great interpersonal skills; previous focus on the USA and/or Nordic market is an advantage
  • Strong sales acumen with the ability to integrate regulatory requirements into the processes
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, proven team-orientation, high level of self-motivation, results-driven approach, and tenacity with a “hands-on” mentality
  • Independent, well-organized, and strong communication skills
  • Interest in development finance, green finance, emerging markets
  • Excellent written and spoken English, ideally proficient in German
  • A purpose driven person with demonstrable commitment to Finance in Motion’s vision/mission
