Compliance Officer – Capital Markets Compliance (m/f/d)

The Compliance department at Finance in Motion enables FiM to cope with non-financial risks by continuously enhancing FiM's Internal Control System ranging from Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing controls, prevention of Sanctions breaches, Anti-Bribery and Corruption measures, Anti-Fraud provisions, take precautions concerning Insider Trading, Cybercrime attacks and ensure the protection of company and personal data.

Key responsibilities:

  • Management of regulatory requirements in the initiation of managed alternative investment funds
  • Ongoing advisory for business units on daily business and regulatory updates implementation
  • Ensuring that all external and internal requirements concerning capital markets compliance are adhered to entailing AIFMD / KAGB, MiFiD / WpHG / MaComp, MAR, CBDD / CBDR
  • Creation and regular update of risk analysis and the associated risk profile
  • Execution of independent, on-site inspections based on an individualized inspection plan derived from risk analysis as well as based on ad hoc findings
  • Ensuring compliance with the risk-based audit and control plan
  • Conducting necessary training
  • Regular reporting to senior management
  • Independent communication with supervisory authorities on breaches/violations
  • Engagement in overarching Compliance projects development and implementation

What we expect:

  • Well rounded, relevant professional experience in this field
  • Sound understanding of the relevant financial sector regulations (e.g., from the Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht – BaFin)
  • Knowledge of Financial Markets and related risks with the main focus on Asset Manager Institutions
  • Degree in economics, business administration, finance, law, or a related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English
  • Strong analytical, writing, and presentation skills enhanced by excellent intercultural skills and sensitivity
