Data and IT Security Officer (m/f/d)

The function of a Data and IT Security Officer (m/f/d) is to assess Finance in Motion’s IT systems and processes in order to manage, monitor and ultimately minimize the operational IT risk of the company. Additionally, the IT Risk and Security Officer (m/f/d) should have a sound understanding of data protection of the company to keep abreast of regulatory and compliance legislation affecting Finance in Motion business.
The Data and IT Security Officer (m/f/d) should finally log security infringements, promptly inform management about security measures and make sure that the remedial actions are followed through. The Data and IT Security Officer (m/f/d) reports to the head of the risk and compliance team.

Key responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement FiM’s information security management systems and ensure their dissemination and, when necessary, the capacity building of interested parties
  • Ensure that FiM’s policies comply with external regulations relevant for a KWG licensed service provider (BAIT, ISO/IEC 27000, DSGVO)
  • Develop and maintain an Incident Reporting and Response System to address FiM’s security incidents, respond to alleged policy violations, or complaints from external parties
  • Develop and implement an ongoing risk assessment program targeting information security and privacy matters
  • Recommend and coordinate the execution of penetration tests and other security assessments from external security providers
  • Keep abreast of latest security and privacy legislation, regulations, alerts and vulnerabilities relevant to FiM’s business
  • With the Head of System Operations, maintain FiM’s IT Disaster Recovery Plan. Coordinate and document the drills and monitor its correct on-going operations
  • Ensuring a good level of training of employees on data protection regulations as well as supporting business units in all data protection related issues

What we expect:

  • University studies in computer science, information systems or other relevant disciplines
  • Sufficient, relevant work experience in IT Security
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 Security and Compliance framework of functionalities
  • Familiarity with the latest technological trends, in particular with regards to computer security and threat prevention
  • Excellent written and spoken English, German language competency is an advantage
  • Analytical thinker with a structured and result-oriented approach to work
  • Sound knowledge of IT specific regulations and relevant security standards
  • Open communication style
  • Demonstrable commitment to Finance in Motion´s vision/mission
