Fund/Regulatory Lawyer (m/f/d)

The Legal Department advises on the financing of impact funds and works in close coordination with other internal departments, external law firms, and service providers. The Legal Department also deals with the relevant regulatory and other legal requirements and topics concerning Finance in Motion (including in its capacity as an Alternative Investment Fund Manager (Kapitalverwaltungsgesellschaft)) and the funds that Finance in Motion advises.

Key responsibilities:

  • Draft, negotiate, and implement transactions relating to the financing of funds
  • Taking care of distribution and marketing related legal aspects in the countries of operation (EU and abroad)
  • Manage or provide legal guidance in relation to regulatory, corporate, commercial, compliance, and other legal issues, including relating to Finance in Motion's status as a regulated Alternative Investment Fund Manager (Kapitalverwaltungsgesellschaft)
  • Conduct negotiations on a variety of legal issues with international counterparties
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders

What we expect:

  • Fully qualified attorney (2nd state exam) or similar foreign qualification. Applications from graduates having a Bachelor of Business Law (Wirtschaftsjuristen) are welcome
  • Business fluency in spoken and written English and German
  • Experience as in-house counsel or at a law firm with the ability to identify key legal issues
  • Ability to work efficiently with excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail and pragmatism with respect to the bigger picture and balancing commercial considerations 
  • High degree of independence, proactivity, and strong negotiating skills in an international context
  • Strong sense of responsibility, enthusiasm and collaborative spirit
  • Open-minded and demonstrable commitment to Finance in Motion's vision/mission
