Intern - Technical Assistance Management (m/f/d)

The Technical Assistance Management department supports the Funds managed by Finance in Motion by designing, developing, and managing capacity building projects in favor of the partner institutions of the Funds and sector-level actors such as central banks and associations. Project under management cover a diverse number of topical areas, such as for example credit analysis, risk management, agricultural finance, and digital transformation. The primary area of activity will be in favor of the SANAD Fund for MSME.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support of project managers in conceptualizing and developing new project proposals and terms of reference documentation, prioritizing the objectives of the respective Fund, for example income generation or reductions in emissions.
  • Close coordination with investment management staff alongside project managers in the course of project development and management.
  • Literature research, analysis and provision of background information to specific topics in the area of development finance.
  • Support in developing and updating reports, presentations and charts.
  • Day to day administration tasks, including editing and formatting documents, updating databases, mailings and correspondence, knowledge management.

What we expect:

  • University degree, preferably in fields related to finance, economics, political/social science, and/or business administration;
  • Strong interest in microfinance, financial sector development and/or digital transformation;
  • Interest in developing/transition economies, regions and cultures;
  • Strong written and spoken English skills; fluent French or Arabic advantageous;
  • Sound analytical skills and the ability to approach issues and solve problems in a practical manner;
  • Strong communication and intercultural skills as well as being a strong team player.
