Internal Audit Specialist (m/f/d)

The Internal Audit function at Finance in Motion is currently outsourced. As we are preparing to manage alternative investment funds, we decided to strengthen our audit function by hiring an internal auditor, who will support the company in its transition from a Financial Service Provider (KWG) to an Alternative Investment Fund Manager (KAGB).

Key responsibilities:
  • Development of the company audit plan
  • Independent execution and documentation of risk and process-oriented audits according to the audit plan as well as special audits within the entire spectrum of general audit and credit in particular
  • Provision of independent consulting to specialist departments and management with the aim of improving processes, the internal control system, efficiency and risk management
  • Monitoring of the implementation of agreed measures for addressing recommendations and findings
  • Advising on key projects
  • Consulting the organization in the implementation of regulatory requirements and in designing its internal control system
  • Establish a well-perceived and well-respected third line of defense function by proactively increasing the understanding of the three lines of defense model within a dynamically growing company
  • Monitoring of internal audits mandated to third parties as well as external audits
  • Other duties and responsibilities as per KAGB and KAMaRisk

What we expect:

  • Successfully completed economic studies, or a comparable education with further related training and experience in the internal audit of an audit association, an audit firm, bank or, ideally, a fund management company. Experience with debt funds preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of general internal audit according to the requirements of the KAGB, KAMaRisk, KAIT and credit operations in general
  • Strong analytical thinking, structured working methods and an ability to rapidly understand new issues
  • Independent & action oriented, with a highly responsible way of working
  • Persistence and attention to detail, while maintaining the “big picture” overview. Able to present the essence to senior management level and produce clear reports.
  • A trusted advisor with strong communication skills
  • Fluent in German and English
