Investment Management Analyst (m/f/d)

The Fund aims at promoting sustainable businesses that contribute to biodiversity conservation, a more efficient use and preservation of natural resources and climate change adaptation and mitigation. The Fund provides funding to financial institutions for on lending to businesses in four sectors – agriculture, forestry, fishery/aquaculture and tourism – as well as undertake direct high-impact investments in such businesses. In addition to the provision of financing, the Fund also provides technical assistance through its Development Facility.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support on- and off-site due diligence processes for debt investments in financial institutions (banks, leasing companies, microfinance institutions, etc.), including the organization of due diligences and writing of investment proposals
  • Monitor existing debt investments, based on financial reports and client visits
  • Monitor/analyze key trends in the economic and financial sector as well as the financial sector regulation and supervision
  • Support internal and external reporting regarding investments, fund performance and economic developments in the countries of operation
  • Assist in identifying technical assistance needs of financial institutions or market participants

What we expect:

  • University degree in economics, business or engineering
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Sufficient, relevant professional experience in banking or finance gained from an international audit firm, financial institution, multilateral or a financial services company
  • Demonstrated skills in analyzing financial institutions
  • Good market knowledge of the financial sector in the Latin-American region
  • Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills, also in multicultural contexts
  • Demonstrable commitment to Finance in Motion´s vision/mission
