Manager – Finance (m/f/d)

Key responsibilities:
  • Leadership of the Accounting & Controlling team within the international Finance organization
  • Deputy to the Director of Finance; member of the cross-functional manager forum
  • Optimizing structure and processes in order to increase efficiency and scale operations
  • Project management of digitalization initiatives
  • Preparation of budgets, financial forecasts, profit and loss statements, balance sheets and liquidity analysis (and associated reporting for executive management and the supervisory board)
  • Management of financial investments, tax assessments & tax declarations
  • Calculation of quarterly accruals & management of assets in the accounting system (DATEV)
  • Close collaboration with the compliance department to ensure that regulatory requirements are adhered to
  • Providing advice and guidance to management with regards to all financial issues
  • Point of contact for auditors and for regulatory authorities

What we expect:

  • An excellent track record with relevant professional experience (preferably including change management / project management / system & process implementation and optimization)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to build and maintain good relationships with various stakeholders in a complex, international environment
  • Managerial experience at the team level (1-4 employees)
  • Accounting regulation expertise including knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
  • Relevant experience from working in a BaFin regulated financial institution, preferably an AIFM (KVG)
  • General knowledge of Financial Markets (Asset Manager / Investment Manager Institutions)
  • Degree in economics, business administration, finance or a related field
  • Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to translate concepts into workable solutions
  • High level of IT literacy
  • Excellent verbal, writing & presentation skills in German and in English
  • Goal oriented & fully committed to delivering high quality results in a timely fashion
