(Senior) Impact Management Expert (m/f/d)

 Key responsibilities:
  • Continue to develop and implement impact management frameworks with a particular focus on tools and procedures for private equity and private debt, with a focus on project finance and corporate finance.
  • Develop relevant impact KPIs to monitor and manage progress towards impact objectives, in alignment with recognized impact investing metrics systems.
  • Work with the investment teams to implement the company’s approach to impact management throughout the investment cycle from opportunity scans, due diligence, structuring, value-addition plans; to performance monitoring and steering; to exit reviews.
  • Ensure compliance alignment with relevant sustainable finance regulation, impact management and measurement initiatives and other voluntary standards.
  • Contribute to impact communication, (investor) reporting and disclosure; inform exchanges on impact and sustainability matters with internal and external stakeholders
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives within the company on impact and sustainability priorities, positions and capacity building.

What we expect:

  • University degree in economics, environmental science, development finance or a related field
  • Professional experience and track record, preferably gained within impact investment, private equity/venture capital or consulting organizations in Europe and/or emerging markets
  • In-depth knowledge and applied experience in at least one of the following subjects and good overview knowledge in the others:
    • Impact management frameworks including the Operating Principles for Impact Management
    • Sustainable finance regulation, including EU Taxonomy and associated technical screening criteria
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail combined with the ability to draw actionable conclusions and pragmatic recommendations for decision-makers
  • Ability to communicate the strategic relevance of and provide technical guidance on impact management.

  • Open and engaging communication style, strong writing and presentation skills
  • Excellent English language skills; knowledge of other languages of Finance in Motion’s countries of operation is considered a plus
