Senior Investment Officer (Corporate Lending, Latin America) (m/f/d)

Key responsibilities:

  • Leading all aspects of the investment cycle from identification of potential corporate investees, conduct on-site due diligence, structuring investment proposal, to presenting to an investment committee, and monitoring of the outstanding portfolio
  • Leading legal discussions with potential investees, from formulating and drafting initial terms and conditions to supporting the negotiation of complex legal agreements
  • Driving the direct lending investment business development and portfolio monitoring to ensure a suitable mix of key metrics (impact, risk, return) in light of market developments in Latin America
  • Internal and external reporting regarding individual transactions and the investment portfolio
  • Identifying technical assistance needs for potential investees or market participants, in coordination with the technical assistance team
  • Preparing annual business plans, aligned with the investment strategy
  • Participating in targeted policy dialogue with relevant stakeholders in the region
  • Representing and positioning FiM, including participation in conferences, workshops, etc.

What we expect:

  • Degree in economics, business administration, finance, or a related field (master's degree preferred)
  • Relevant work experience in corporate lending, including agribusiness transactions
  • Ample regional business network and strong client relationship management skills
  • Strong analyticals skills in finance and solid understanding of accounting standards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (all responsibilities are conducted fully in English)
  • Strong presentation skills enhanced by intercultural sensitivities
  • Goal oriented, team player, and fully committed to delivering high quality results under tight deadlines
