Senior Officer – Bond Structuring/Trading (m/f/d)

Our Treasury team is currently looking for a Senior Officer with expertise in bond structuring/trading to support the investment activities of our new Green Bond Fund dedicated to Latin America. The fund will invest in Green Bonds issued both publicly/privately, as well as provide technical assistance (carried out by external consultants) to new issuers in the structuring of first-time Green Bond emissions.

Key responsibilities:

  • Technical assessment of investments in bonds and similar types of securities, together with the Investment Management team (in charge of identifying, evaluating, and negotiating new investment opportunities).
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of technical assistance projects to support new issuers of Green Bonds.
  • Participate in the presentation of investment opportunities in Green Bonds to our management and governance bodies.
  • Lead the further development of our systems for executing bond transactions and managing our Green Bond portfolio.
  • Instruct our Treasury to purchase/sell bonds in accordance with the approval provided by the Management or the respective governance bodies and support them with the corresponding execution.
  • Liaise with the legal team for evaluating the legal documentation related to investments in Green Bonds.
  • Lead the analysis of local regulatory frameworks in the countries of Latin America in which the fund is active and asses the implications for our investments in bonds issued locally.

What we expect:

  • University degree in economics, finance, business administration, law, or a related field.
  • Sufficient, relevant work experience. In particular, experience in bond structuring, bond trading. Previous experience in a fixed income desk or Debt Capital Markets - DCM of an investment bank (or similar) are an advantage.
  • Interest in development finance, green finance, development economies, regions, and cultures
  • Excellent English language skills (working language). Spanish or Portuguese is an advantage.
