Senior Officer Business Solutions / Associate (m/f/d)

You will join an experienced forward operating team with coverage responsibilities for the further development of Finance in Motion’s growing private markets offering, organizational development and strategy. The role entails exposure across a broad range of topics with a dedicated focus on further growing our Finance in Motion private markets platform (debt/equity/fund-of-fund transactions & tailored investment structures, managed accounts, sidecars, co-investments etc.) and market presence for impact and sustainable investments in emerging markets.

The role is suitable for a creative and entrepreneurial mid-level professional with solid asset management, strategy consulting and/or law firm experience in multinational environments. Experience in understanding alternative investment and impact investments value chain (private credit, private equity, infrastructure, clean energy, ESG/sustainability/impact investments) will be preferred. We are looking for a true team player with the ability to become a trusted business partner to a wide range of stakeholders across Finance in Motion, including executive and senior leadership as well as our network of investors, partners, and service providers globally.

Key responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and systematically develop further business development activities for Finance in Motion private markets platform
  • Coordinate and systematically develop further client relationship management with relevant stakeholders such as investment management, Luxembourg key account team and sales function
  • Coordinate and support product management activities (e.g. Investor RFPs, assisting in all kinds of product-relevant tasks, supporting due diligence processes between investor and Finance in Motion, organize business development to promote the capability of Finance in Motion private markets platform)
  • Coordinating and supporting investment product implementation with various other stakeholders across Finance in Motion in relation to the implementation of new investment products (e.g. supporting on structuring and fund set-up, feasibility assessment, structuring, documentation, investor due diligence, side letter negotiations, internal approval process)
  • Support the further organizational development and further build-out of the Finance in Motion franchise across new geographical areas
  • Support senior leadership team in strategy execution, monitoring the scope, quality, schedule and cost of the strategic portfolio, including working with senior leadership and project leads to review and assure delivery of all major strategy and project deliverables and milestones.
  • Support the further development and maintenance of our global partnership network with public and private side investors, service providers and industry associations with a view to building trusted long-term relationships

What we expect:

  • University degree in a relevant field (Finance, Economics, Law)
  • Significant professional experience in asset management, strategy consulting and/or law firm in multinational environments with strong background in asset management, impact and sustainable finance investments for private market investors (debt/equity/fund-of-fund transactions & tailored investment structures)
  • Demonstrable commitment to Finance in Motion’s mission to do good for people and planet
  • Dynamic, authentic, credible team player with entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to co-create with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work autonomously in a structured manner, including proven ability to deliver on time, scope and budget and interface successfully with a wide variety of senior level stakeholders and investors
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team both directly and virtually, including ability to consult widely, bring together diverse views, and facilitate agreement on critical issues, enhanced by excellent communication / presentation skills in English (German a plus)
  • Experience with investments in emerging markets is considered a strong advantage
  • First experience in managing global projects and multi-cultural project teams, as well as experience in leading virtual teams where members are located in multiple countries and time zones
