Senior Officer Finance (m/f/d)

The department consists of an experienced all-rounder, interacting closely with top management, Human Resources, the Legal department, the Fund Planning department, heads of individual profit centers and 16 local offices. Besides accounting, payments, budgeting and planning, we are responsible for certain regulatory requirements and the set-up of local offices.

Key responsibilities:

  • Day to day responsibility for the accounting of certain legal entities
  • Complete quarterly and annual financial closing process tasks of the parent company
  • Preparation and monitoring of cash planning, preparation liquidity reporting
  • Preparation of consolidated financial statements on a group level
  • Contribution to the tax compliance and ensure controls and documentation when applicable
  • Process optimization and project support (project experience preferred)
  • Organization of external audits
  • Communicate with external tax advisors and accountants
  • Support of the controlling function
  • Representation of Finance Manager in case of absence

What we expect:

  • Bachelor degree or higher academic qualification
  • Proficient knowledge with several years of successful experiences in accounting (German GAAP), financial reporting, preferably in the financial sector or audit company
  • Knowledge on German taxation (VAT, Income Tax)
  • Experience with financial regulation (BaFin/MaRisk) preferred
  • Preferably experience with DATEV
  • Hands-on approach as a generalist in a department with a wide range of responsibilities
  • A positive, proactive and curious mind-set 
  • Team player with an international mindset and intercultural skills
  • Fluency in German and English, which is the working language of the firm
