SysOps Intern (m/f/d)

Finance in Motion’s information and communication infrastructure is modern and sophisticated. A small team of engineers supports multiple services for the Frankfurt head office, the international representative offices and for the roaming users. Among the technologies we manage are IPSec and SSL VPN, VoIP, QoS, Windows and Linux Servers, Cisco Telepresence and VoIP, NAS and a Cisco backbone infrastructure. We also have a significant Office 365 & Azure Cloud presence. We are now looking for an Intern to join our SysOps Team in Frankfurt. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve end-user hardware, software and peripherals issues
  • Perform installation/imaging, setup, configuration, migration, upgrading and maintenance of users’ equipment  
  • Be responsive and proactive when handling end-users' HW and SW requests 
  • Provide training to users in the proper use of hardware and software
  • Escalate more complex issues to second level support or more senior team members
  • Refer major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors or technicians for service
  • Identify bottlenecks, potential issues, weaknesses of the current infrastructure and promptly report them
  • Perform his/her duties maintaining high standards of customer orientation and constructive attitude

What we expect:

  • University degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Configuration and imaging of Windows 10 hardware
  • Basic knowledge of Windows based Domain Administration 
  • Familiarity with IP-networking and security concepts 
  • A self-motivating, open and respectful personality
  • Proficiency in English is a requirement
  • Demonstrate alignment with the mission / goals of FiM
